If I ever meet Donald Miller in real life I’m going to poop myself. It wasn’t until I started to read his books that I started to think about things like God and Jesus in ways that were completely disassociated with the Republican party and ultra-conservative insanity. It’s weird for me to write this out still because it’s still so new to me, but I love Jesus. What a champ that guy was, and is, really. I don’t think I’m going to stop saying fuck as much or anything like that, but I’m finally interested in listening to people more than I am just sitting around waiting to talk. I now know how to love everybody around me, I just need to make sure I do it. I remember writing something about wanting to love everybody before tour started, and I didn’t think it was really possible, but now I do. There are a lot of crazy thoughts going through my head all at once, but I’m really excited about it. I don’t have to be alone in this quest to be a good person anymore. The idea of eternally unconditional love and compassion are so wild to me. There’s a huge, unimaginable greater being that loves me no matter what because I’m me. That’s so insane.
